Plastering
With over 30 years' experience in plastering and rendering, Rendafacade delivers professional internal plaster finishes for homeowners, housebuilders and commercial contractors.
Based in Essex, we undertake wall and ceiling skimming, float and set plastering and re-plastering across London, Kent, Suffolk and the surrounding counties — from individual rooms to full property refurbishments.
Service 01
We apply smooth, consistent finishing plaster to suitably prepared walls and ceilings, including sound existing plaster and newly installed plasterboard. The aim is an even finish ready for decoration once fully dry.
From individual rooms and extensions to larger residential and commercial interiors, we protect adjoining surfaces and work to the finish required for the room.
Service 02
Where a wall needs more than a finishing skim, we can straighten and build up suitable masonry backgrounds with an appropriate backing plaster before applying the finish coat.
We assess suction, existing coatings, thickness and the condition of the substrate before choosing the preparation and plastering system.
Service 03
Damaged, uneven or tired internal plaster can often be repaired or re-plastered once the cause of any failure has been addressed. Work may include removing unsound areas, preparing the background and blending repairs into adjoining finishes.
For larger refurbishments, we can assess whether local repairs or a more comprehensive re-plaster is the better option. Persistent damp or movement must be investigated before new plaster is applied.
Before we start
Every background is different. We check for loose material, cracking, suction and other issues before deciding whether the walls need repairs, a backing coat or a finishing skim. Drying times and readiness for decorating depend on the plaster system and site conditions.
Need plasterboard installation, stud partitions or suspended ceilings? These are covered by our Dry Lining service. For specialist polished feature walls, visit Venetian Plastering.
We work throughout Essex and the South East, including London, Kent, Suffolk, Bromley, Chislehurst and Sidcup. The appropriate preparation and specification are confirmed after assessing the property.
