Rendering

External Rendering Contractors

With over 30 years' experience in the plastering and rendering industry, Rendafacade provides external rendering for homeowners, housebuilders and commercial contractors.

Based in Essex, we work across London, Kent, Suffolk and the surrounding counties — from single properties and extensions to residential developments — installing silicone, monocouche and traditional render systems to suit each project.

System 01

Silicone thin-coat render

A modern, through-coloured decorative finish applied over a reinforced basecoat. Silicone renders are water-repellent yet vapour-permeable, and are available in a wide range of colours and grain sizes.

Suited to masonry, board-backed and timber-frame substrates when installed as part of the manufacturer's compatible system — common on new builds, extensions and refurbishments.

System 02

Monocouche render

A one-coat, through-coloured cement-based render, typically applied in two passes and scraped to a consistent textured finish. Widely specified for new-build housing and developments.

Best applied to sound, suitably prepared masonry such as blockwork. We undertake hand and machine application to the manufacturer's specification.

System 03

Sand & cement render

Traditional sand and cement render remains a practical choice for suitable masonry backgrounds, extensions, repairs and refurbishment work, typically finished smooth, floated or ready for masonry paint.

Preparation, mix and finishing method are chosen to suit the condition of the existing walls and the appearance required.

System 04

Heritage & lime render

Older solid-walled buildings often need breathable lime-based materials that allow moisture to move out of the wall rather than trapping it behind a dense cement coat.

We assess the existing fabric first and match the render approach to the building. See our Heritage & Lime page for more detail.

Final system choice depends on the substrate, exposure, detailing and finish required, and is confirmed after a site survey. Related: External Wall Insulation · Projects
