Floor Screeding

Floor Screeding Contractors

Rendafacade provides traditional sand and cement screeding and liquid (flowing) screed installations for homeowners, housebuilders and commercial contractors.

Based in Essex, we work across London, Kent, Suffolk and the surrounding counties, creating accurately levelled floor bases for new builds, extensions and refurbishment projects.

System 01

Traditional sand & cement screed

Traditional sand and cement floor screed provides a strong, level base for final floor finishes. It is suitable for a range of residential and commercial projects, from extensions and renovations to new-build housing.

We lay and compact the specified screed mix, working to the agreed thickness, levels, tolerances and curing requirements. Depending on the design, this can include bonded, unbonded and floating floor constructions.

System 02

Liquid / flowing floor screed

Liquid screed is pumped into the prepared area and levelled to create a consistent surface. It can be an efficient solution for suitable new-build and refurbishment projects, including many underfloor heating installations.

Before pouring, the floor is prepared and adjustable screed levelling pods or tripods are set to the required finished height. We check the chosen product, substrate, edge isolation and sealing details, then place and finish the screed to its manufacturer's instructions.

Floor build-up

Bonded, unbonded & floating screeds

The correct screed build-up depends on the base, insulation, membrane, loading and finished floor requirements. We review the specification and levels before recommending the appropriate installation method and screed thickness.

Where insulation or an acoustic layer is included, edge isolation and the correct membrane and movement-joint detailing are essential.

Heating compatibility

Screeds over underfloor heating

We can work with specified floor screeds designed for use over underfloor heating. The pipe layout, fixing, pressure testing, minimum cover and movement joints must be checked before screeding begins.

Drying and commissioning times vary between cement-based and calcium sulphate systems. Heating must only be brought into service using the manufacturer's specified programme.

Screed selection, minimum thickness, curing and suitability for tiles, timber or other final floor coverings are confirmed from the project specification and site conditions. We serve Essex, London, Kent and Suffolk, including Bromley, Chislehurst and Sidcup. Related: Dry Lining · Internal Plastering.
