Venetian Plaster

Venetian Plastering

Create a distinctive interior with polished Venetian plaster, marble-effect finishes and decorative wall textures. From subtle natural stone to bold statement surfaces, every finish is selected to suit the space.

Rendafacade brings over 30 years' plastering and rendering experience to interior finishing projects across Essex, London, Kent, Suffolk and the surrounding counties.

Finish 01

Polished Venetian plaster

Venetian plaster creates a distinctive decorative surface with depth, movement and a soft or highly polished sheen. Multiple thin layers are worked by hand, building subtle variations in tone and a refined, stone-like appearance.

It is particularly effective on feature walls, entrance halls, staircases and statement interiors where a conventional painted finish would not provide the same character.

Finish 02

Marmorino & textured finishes

Marmorino and related decorative plaster finishes offer a more natural, mineral look, ranging from softly honed surfaces to gently textured stone effects. Colour, texture and sheen are selected together to complement the room.

Different manufacturers offer different materials and application systems. We discuss the look required and assess the background before confirming the suitable finish, preparation and protection.

Your finish, your style

Colour, texture & sheen

From calm neutral tones to dramatic veining and deeper, more expressive colours, a Venetian finish can become the focal point of a room. We can discuss smooth, polished, textured and specialist decorative options based on the finish system and look you prefer.

Samples are important because changing light can alter how a decorative finish appears throughout the day. Hand-applied finishes naturally vary from one surface to another.

Preparation & application

A finish built in layers

Successful decorative plaster starts with a sound, clean, suitably prepared background. We review the substrate and use the appropriate preparation and base layers before applying the selected decorative system.

Depending on the product, layers may be compressed, burnished and sealed or waxed. Wet or high-humidity areas require particular attention to suitability and protection; not every decorative plaster is appropriate for direct water exposure.

Where it works

Feature walls & refined interiors

Venetian plaster works well in living rooms, hallways, stairwells, bedrooms, reception areas and suitable commercial interiors. We can help you select a material and finish that complements the property and how the room will be used.

For conventional walls and ceilings ready for decoration, see our Internal Plastering service. We cover Essex and the South East, including London, Kent, Suffolk, Bromley, Chislehurst and Sidcup.
